Rate the last made for TV movie you've seen

Terra Nova

The premise is that this family got selected to go through a portal to earlier days on Earth when dinosaurs roamed, long before we Wall-E'd up the place, to start their lives over on this Dino-proof colony.

The guy went to prison for hitting a cop that was investigating his 2-child policy violation so he missed out on seeing his daughter between the time she was 3 until 5 and when he got out she didn't recognize him as her father, but she finally did just now after some time at...

TERRA NOVA

His son is having the same issues, but mchotty pants just set him straight.

So there are a few awww moments so far, in between the action, but it's gratifyingly far away from any sort of soap opera in spaaaace the paaaast; its story is fairly unique I suppose. I could see it doing well, but I would've been completely confused if I hadn't read the TV Guide summary. Some things needed better explanation but it's not bad. The dinos really ramp up in the last half hour.

There's some sort of mystery involved. Some geometric shapes are etched on rocks outside the colony. Sooo I guess it's more like JP meets LOST meets Wall-E?

What the Gaylord Fock is this?

It you want to talk about bad TV movies I just happened to watch something called Revolution. It's basically the start American war of independence in SPACE, which is set 50 Light years away from the Earth Government which also conveniently takes a whole month to travel to. The twist is that the British are now played by the AMERICANS who are now oppressing the colonials, IN THE FUTURE. It didn't catch the ending since I instantly became bored out of mind every time I looked at the TV. Smuggling that, black market this, surface to air missiles, gunship diplomacy, jack booting, NOT SHOWN. Just talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk.

It was the Anti-whatever that Mel Gibson movie was.

It's a subtle hint to take discussions of TV movies to this thread. You know, to discuss movies. Even terrible ones where nothing happens made by the Sci-fi channel before they became SYFY.

Oh, that Mel Gibson movie was called The Patriot.

BTW, Terra Nova is not a made for TV movie, it's a TV show (which I missed thanks to a-hole bus driver). I hope they re-air the pilot soon.

More TN tonight!

A girl with black hair just said that when you're lost in the woods you can eat bugs if you run out of food. That's good advice.

This week lizard birds took over the compound, next week it's a memory-wrecking virus! What will they think of next.
