It will also include a hint system, as well as a Boss Rush mode.

Nintendo revealed some new details regarding The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii at today's 3DS Press Conference.

The game was demonstrated on-stage by series creator Shigeru Miyamoto prior to the 3DS announcements. One of the new details regarding the game is that it will feature over 50 hours of gameplay.

In addition, Skyward Sword will feature a hint system, similar to the Super Guide seen in games like New Super Mario Bros. Wii, in order to help new players out. Finally, once the game has been beaten, a Boss Rush mode is unlocked. Both features were seen in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be released in November worldwide.

Yup. Going have to move my pre-order to Best Buy. No waiting for Amazon to deliver this game during the week. I need this the day it comes out.  ;D

I'm glad this game is going to have the hint feature, now I am certain the puzzles will get more complex!

I hope Nintendo's figured out how to spare the player having to fully motion control all attacks for that long of a game.  The player's arm has to be able to rest at some point.  I'm totally interested in the full Wii Motion + sword swinging, but my arm can't take over 50 hours of that the way I tend to marathon these games.  Hell, if the motion control is particularly vigorous, it can't take more than an hour of it if my time with Excitebots is any indication.

There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

You raise an important issue, and what I believe to be an unfortunate trend that is unlikely to go away. I wish the release calendar for games was less holiday-centric. I mean, it's exciting, of course, that many of my most anticipated games are finally coming out, but it would be totally impractical for both time and money reasons for me to buy everything that I want to play.

Nevertheless, Skyward Sword will be a Day 1 purchase. The Super Guide can pave the way for more complicated puzzles, and as that's my favourite part of Zelda, I'm so glad.
