Fear sounds great at the moment, it seems to have more "concrete" information of the two.  But that doesn't mean I'm not interested in Ground Zero.  Heck, if it's a Nintendo game, it's always worth at least two looks.

i agree with kennyb here-
fear sounds like its the best of the two right now
and miyamoto did say a while back he would be introducing a new franchise to us at e3 with connectability (with the gba)
personally fear sounds really awesome- you try to overcome all of your fears
it is a very interesting sounding game, and with miyamoto behind it, it cant be bad
e3 seems so far away right now....i cant wait
ground zero could be good, but we dont have any information on it (we dont even know if the fear info is real though)
but if ground zero turns out to be game zero, we could be in for a treat
i call the big one bitey.

After reading that description of Fear, the first thing that popped into my mind was that it sounded sorta like Tim Shafer's (LucasArts adventure game creator: Full Throttle, Grim Fandango) upcoming Xbox (methinks) game Psychonauts.   I forgot all the details, but it involves a kid going into peoples dreams or nightmares or something-something...

I'm done here.

Yeah, Psychonauts looks really interesting to me- I gotta get a friend of mine who owns an XBox to rent that or something.

When I hear the name Ground Zero I think of a game about a post-apocalyptic future (is there any other kind?) where you play part of a strike alliance against some evil empire (be it alien or what) threatening to destroy the world. Perhaps the "bigger than anything else" comment refers to the storyline or maybe the world you're in or perhaps they're talking about the possible appeal of this game to the vaunted "casual gamer".
And as for "Fear", Matt from IGN has talked a few times about a Miyamoto game he knows of that he finds "baffling" as to why he's making it and how it would work, although he said since Miyamoto is behind it it should turn out good. I think that describes this game but who knows.
One last thing, I'm really dreading visiting message boards after E3 when a bunch of people bitch about there "not being any secret games" when people find out about all of them beforehand. Some people just don't get it that these are the games that were supposed to be secret.

ground zero and game zero may be completely different games......ground zero reminds me of the top secret game in smash bros melee...remember the bombs?

Both games sound awesome.  I can't wait to see how they turn out at E3.  I'm guessing they are going to be this year's main flagship titles.  I wonder how Fear is going to accomplish its name.  I can't imagine Miyamoto producing a survival-horror game, so I'm sure it's going to be very innovative.  I have no idea how Nintendo is going to be able to accomplish fears of things like height into a game without resorting to something that only affects your character (you look over a cliff, your character runs screaming away... that would be very annoying.)

Ground Zero could be almost anything.  I've been wanting more big, non-linear games for GameCube, so maybe this is it.

You can't find the GamePro thread because ...

Drumroll please ...

It never existed.  Yes, it's yet another pre-E3 hoax, and GamePro has squelched the rumor on their Forum.
