Topic: 3DS Prepaid Card Spotted in Store

A Best Buy may have stocked 3DS eShop cards early.

Several hours ago, an enthusiastic Redditor posted what appears to be a legitimate phone-cam snap of a prepaid 3DS card, found on a US store shelf.

Clearly, the authenticity of pictures posted on Reddit are to be taken with a grain of salt, but if it's a Photoshop fake, it's well-made. Zooming in on the display case label shows that the early stocking was made at a Best Buy store in the US, though details beyond that are sketchy. Whether the poster was a customer or staff of the store is unknown, and they sadly don't provide any more details.

The original image was posted upside down but while scouring the image for obvious forgery signs in Photoshop, I took the liberty of flipping it right-side up.

Could be fake, but most likely real.  I mean if they are going to be launching in the next week or two, makes sense for cards to be shipping or getting ready to be shipped.   I really hope it launches next week.  Been craving some games and such to be stored on my 3ds for ease of use.

It's definitely real. I work at Best Buy and we've had them for a little over a week, I believe. I know just saying that doesn't mean anything, but I'll take a picture of it at work tomorrow to prove it.

Obviously I don't know when exactly the store is opening, but maybe Nintendo just wanted to get a head start on the shipping.

Doesn't the shop launch sometime this month? I forget the date, but I don't see why this would be fake.
