Phantasy Star Online Episode III
« on: May 04, 2003, 03:10:14 PM »
I was just looking at Nintendo's E3 website and I saw they had a part for Phantasy Star Online Episode III C.A.R.D. Revolution.  I had a couple questions for anyone with the answers.  Was this originally a Dreamcast game?  When it goes online, will it be compatible with PSO Ep. 2?  And, finally, it says that it is a GCN exclusive, but did PSO ep 2 say that too before it was ported to Xbox (like is there a chance that this is a limited exclusive too?)

PS.  I wrote this having not played the first PSO, but I'm always interested in the workings of Nintendo and GCN (in this case online play).

It's probably not compatable with PSO Episodes I & II.  It's an exclusive for GameCube in that it's not currently planned for Xbox, but I would put money on that it will come out for Xbox a year or so later if God hasn't smiten the console yet.  (We all know that God loves Nintendo most.  )

And no, it was never made for Dreamcast.  It's an entirely new episode.
Once I had, a little game
I liked to crawl back into my brain
I think you know the game I mean

No, this is an all-new original game, and was first shown at E3 2002 behind closed doors.  It was the first game to show off LAN functionality.
