It's the best thing to do for NBA Elite 11 really. That isn't the type of game they can delay since it needs to be out for the sports season, and considering how bad the game sounds, it needs a lot of work. They're doing what they should with it, take the loss and work on making NBA Elite 12 a worthwhile game... or at least a playable game.

I just got my copy of NBA Jam in the mail today (Amazon B2G1)
I played 1 game to get used to the controls (nunchuck mode was awkward, went for wiimote style instead)
then played 1 campaign game so far using the Lakers.

2 Words..... BOOM SHAKALAKA

I whooped ass. It's a damn shame this game has no online.

edit: 2 games later I can say one thing about this that differs from the last games in the series.
The shove. Shoves are not affecting people in this game. if someone was about to shoot and you shoved them, then that would interrupt that shot. or if they were about to receive a pass and you shove them way before the ball gets to them, they would fall, and miss the pass. That is not happening here. They will just pretend you never shoved them and take the pass or continue on with their shot. it's a little frustrating especially when the computer can somehow push you while we are both in mid-air.

I went to Best Buy to purchase Super Mario All-Stars with a $25 gift card.... and ended up getting NBA Jam for PS3 as well since it was on sale. And so much for saving money....

I'll just talk about it here since it's the same game and there's no point in creating a new Jam topic in the General Gaming forum.

It's a bit slower than I remember Jam being. Dunks are harder to pull off because blocked shots went up 4000%. Shoving got nerfed. You actually have to play defense in this game. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's certainly different. Being on fire seems to only give unlimited Turbo because I was still missing shots. That's a fail. I need to put more time into the game. I'm not great with timing though Easy is very forgiving as expected.

I don't like that there's no button configuration. I would have wanted to make R1/R2 Turbo as well. Also, I remember in single player mode controlling whoever had the ball. I don't think you can switch players in the new Jam. Ehh... don't like that either. I haven't played online yet but consider how much I suck, I'll stay offline for the time being.
