Nintendo's flagship store in New York City gets a new coat of paint and then some.

The Nintendo World Store, Nintendo's flagship retail center in New York City's Rockefeller Center, recently underwent renovations. With a November 7 party in the works to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., the store is looking better than ever.

The location has become more of a Nintendo shrine than ever before, thanks to an expansion given to the museum area. The store added new Nintendo DSi stations.

The relaunched Nintendo World Store retains its usual dizzying array of Nintendo merchandise, everything from t-shirts to plush toys to, of course, games.

Head on over to Wired's Game|Life blog for pictures.

NWR_Lindy Gets a Reboot
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

If I am ever in NYC, I will go out of my way to go to the store.
