Mmm...marketing. ;)

Nice to see it is picking up in it's sales, which makes sense considering the Olympics are going on right now.

Same thing happened with the first game, it got a big boost in sales once the 2008 Olympics started. I wonder if the game is doing even better in Canada? The first game got great sales in China.

I wonder if Sega is playing ads on NBC during the Olympics non-stop.
If it's already done 6mill, more advertising could push it another 1 or 2 over the next week or so.

I know I have already seen a few commercials on NBC this week for it (including last night).

I haven't bought this game yet. Maybe I'll wait until this dies down.

You should definitely get it. I bought it just for the curling, which is great, but most of the other events are good, too. I especially like Dream Bobsled.

I've heard some very mixed opinions on this game, it seems people either love it or hate it. Views range from calling it a much-improved sequel with lots of enjoyable events, more variety, and a lot of little touches which come together to form greatness, to declaring it more of the same with bad controls, poor design choices, an abundance of useless extras, and a waste of potential.

I wasn't really big on the first game, so I'm going to wait until I find it on sale. It's an instance where I'm just going to have to decide for myself, though I will say that having character costumes for the Mii as a replacement for those actual characters screams of laziness.

My sister doesn't play this one very often compared to how she was always wanting to play the first one. Take that as you will.

Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Well, did you like the first game? If yes, then you should enjoy this one. As all of you know, I thought the game was a great improvement over the first game in nearly every way, from graphics and controls, to gameplay and events, and I think that it selling over 6 million copies is great news since it deserves it far more than the original.

I liked the first one all right, but I didn't think it was worth full retail price (which I didn't pay). Your reviews usually seem more fair than most others I've read, so I'd be more likely to take your word over somebody else. But I didn't like the first game enough to be willing to buy it on release, though I will get it eventually.

The last one I played was Nagano 98 on the N64 and my Dad and I were addicted to the curling game on it. Before that there was an old PC game we played for DOS that was fun too.
