Nice to see that the GameCube version is doing so well, although nothing compares to that week in November or December where GameCube sales came within something like 1,000 of Playstation 2 sales cause of Mario party 4. Good times.
I think maybe Microsoft just realizes that even a bundle deal won't save the Xbox in Japan. In spite of what people are saying here about the Xbox, I personally think it would have done fine with or without the bundles. They helped to sell some hardware, for sure, but Xbox just seems to be in the public conscience in a way GameCube is not. I've heard it mentioned on the Simpsons, in the comic strip Adam, and I'm sure it's come up in one other place on TV as well.
I forgot to get to my point!

My point is, I don't think Xbox has much appeal in Japan and the sales are so dismal that a bundle deal would just be throwing away money to get 1/4 of GameCube's sales instead of 1/10. Not to mention that GameCube itself only has a fraction of Sony's sales.
