A sad day today, Les Pual died..

/sad

I just read some more into the story of his death, the poor guy actually died at White Plains Hospital, just a few miles away from where i work. I had no idea he was even living in New York, let alone hospitlized so close.. To think, I've driven by that hospital daily meanwhile a legend was dying there..

/sadder

EASYCURE: I remember thinking(don't ask me why) this was a blond haired, blue eyed, chiseled athlete. Like he looked like Seigfried before he became Nightmare.

Not to sound cynical since a loss always hurt no matter who. But he died at 94. He lived a long life, and from what I read made a legacy along the way. He gained a family and a lot of people that respected and loved the man.

Its not really sad since he made his life and did so by being a legend. It times for a well deserved rest.

RIP

I don't think that sounds cynical at all Pap, however..

At the age of 94 the man was STILL doing what he loved and appearantly played weekly shows at small places in Manhattan with some big name acts. They'd just sit and jam, doing it for the love of the music. Sounds to me like he didn't want to rest, he just wanted to keep on rippin' up his guitars.

At least he won't have to suffer from the pnuemonia that took him. He's jammin with Jesus now :P

The sad truth is that even if we want to continue doing what we love forever sooner or later it will have to end. I think Les kept doing it for as long as possible until he died. That's why I think he led a good, long life. He knew how to enjoy it so he was given a lot of time on Earth.
