5th Cell's DS title Scribblenauts has received over 30 industry awards after its presentation at E3, including THE Game Critics Award for "Best Original Game," Gamespot.com's "EditorÂ’s Choice Game of the Show" and many other honors from various media and industry outlets.

Scribblenauts is a DS platforming title in which players summon different items by writing different words. It is being developed by 5th Cell, known for their work on Drawn to Life and Lock's Quest, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive.

Scribblenauts, the surprise smash hit of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2009, is now among the most honored games of the year.     Scribblenauts, the inventive, wholly original puzzle game for Nintendo DS from independent developer 5th Cell (Drawn to Life, LockÂ’s Quest) became the unexpected “must-see” game of E3 2009, intriguing and exciting everyone from mommy bloggers to hard-core gamers with its fun and approachable game play.

Incorporating innovative “write anything, solve everything” play, allowing players to write in words to solve puzzles using the Nintendo DS touch screen and stylus, both expert and novice gamers can enjoy Scribblenauts – the only limit is playersÂ’ imaginations!

Following its show-stopping success at E3, Scribblenauts is the winner of more than 30 industry awards, including the prestigious Game Critics Award for “Best Original Game,” chosen by an independent group of 29 leading North American media outlets that cover the videogame industry.

Scribblenauts has also received the following awards for its one-of-a-kind game play:

  • Four honors as the best overall game of the E3 Expo, including Yahoo! Games “Best of E3 2009,” GameSpot.comÂ’s “EditorÂ’s Choice Game of the Show” and both IGN.com and GameSpy.comÂ’s “Overall Game of Show”
