RFN virgins Zach Miller and Chuck Jose join James and Jonny for a round of third-party game impressions, recorded after the second day of E3. We cover games ranging from the assured hits (Red Steel 2, Dead Space: Extraction, Tony Hawk: Ride, FFCC: Crystal Bearers) to the previously unknown (Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals, Academy of Champions).

Note: If you aren't already subscribed to one of the feeds or through iTunes, this would be a good week to start. Episodes may show up for subscribers significantly earlier than we can post articles for them.

I do want to say the NWR staff at E3 has been nothing short of amazing. You guys have done a tremendous job with your impressions. Even IF you didn't do these podcasts I would still be beyond impressed. This just amazes me more! Thank you.

I don't understand or remember the conversation that lead to this quote.

I think you were brutalizing a game because the demo crashed, James.

I know it was late when you recorded this, but I just want to point out that The Conduit does in fact ship June 23, not July as was mentioned in the podcast.

Nice episode.  Where does Mr. Miller hail from?  His accent sounds familiar, but I can't place it.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Zach's in Alaska. Oh, and for the record:

- GI Radio Commentary was basically the unofficial podcast of GameInformer.com. We had site and magazine editors on all the time, and frequently covered the news.
- I started GI Radio in October of 2006, after being here at NWR for almost two years.
- I did not, in fact, come up with Radio Free Nintendo. That was all Sklens and Burchfield. And Stan and I only sort of made up Nintendo Pirate Radio.

I didn't start listening to RFN until it was a regular lineup of Karl & Mike, with Jonny as a recurring (but not permanent guest).    That was a pretty great setup back then.  It's a testament to the current lineup that they've managed to maintain the momentum (and perhaps even increase) of the previous staff.

Also considering that Jonny is now the host, it's kind of funny that one of the very old episodes of RFN was an interview with PGC director, Jonathan Metts.
