EA Sports Active Blog: Day 4

Today, I burned 140 calories with Active, despite opting out of some jumping exercises. It still wants me to take a day offÂ… but I can rest on the plane to E3!

Running was a major theme for today, with sessions at the track placed at the start, middle, and finish of my workout. It rarely asks me to simply run for more than two minutes, though. I may start with walking, then run for a couple of laps, then alternate among high knees, kick-ups, and more running. Generally speaking, running is probably one of my least favorite kinds of exercise, so Active must be doing something right to keep me doing it day after day.

There were also more lunges today, and they really burned. My thigh muscles and "glutes" (butt) were mildly sore today, both before the workout and especially after it. The upper body stuff is getting to be boring due to lack of challenge, so I may switch to a stronger resistance band for next time.

It's funny. I want to get this, but I feel like I wouldn't use it that much before E3. Meanwhile, you're using it to prepare yourself for E3.

It is looking like this game is turning out to be pretty good, so this might find its way into my living room after E3.

I just watched my mom fo this for the first time. helped her assemble and adjust the resistance bands too. Its pretty funny to watch some of the balance board exercises. I think I might actually give this a shot.
