Bit.Trip CORE sequel to Bit.Trip BEAT coming this Summer
« on: May 15, 2009, 06:09:32 PM »
Trailer here.

Looks interesting. And it's a pretty fast turnaround for a sequel.

Coming to WiiWare.

Looks like you shoot from a cannon in the center and dots falling on either side of you. It expands the gameplay to focus on moving two plains instead of just one. I'm guessing that means you can move the cannon left and right as well as up and down.

800 Points. Worth every bit in my opinion. I love it. I only wish I could sit down and play it for longer than ten minutes. I never feel I have enough time to play as far as I can go or else I'd probably have a top score thread up.

If I did one of those, should it be in the Funhouse or the Nintendo Console forum?

I'm thinking it should be in the Machmaking/smacktalking forum. Maybe you could post your high scores in the Bit Trip Beat thread.I think both should be fine.

OK, makes sense. I was thinking of something where the OP would update with the current top 10 or something. I saw one for the mini games in Super Mario 64 DS but I forgot where it was.

It's 600 Points not 800 Points. If you didn't read my review I gave Bit.Trip Beat a 9.0, I am looking forward to Core.

From the trailer it seems you play the game only with the d-pad.

Looks a lot harder than BEAT.  Still an instabuy for me though.  I wish the DSi had some quality games like this coming out.

Whoops, my bad. I forget how awesomely cheap it is since so few quality games are at low prices.

From the trailer it seems you play the game only with the d-pad.

The devs said dpad + button, aim with the pad, fire the beam with the button.
