Ghostbusters: The Video Game is scheduled for release on June 16, 2009.
I was amazed that they got the real voices. Bill Murray and Harold Ramis? That's crazy. I don't know if Dan Ackroyd is in there, though.
Lindy, I am surprised you weren't aware of that. As jakeOSX partially explained, it was Aykroyd and Ramis (the writers of both movies) actually wrote the story and script for the game and have stated that the game can be considered Ghostbusters 3 (not that proposed move for next year). The only cast members not returning are Rick Moranis (who is retired from acting and said he wasn't interested in coming out of retirement for the game) and Sigourney Weaver (who did say she was interested in reprising her role, but by the time she decided on that the developers had moved on and replaced her character).
Want bad. Real bad.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. This game is going to be fun.The funny thing is I can't decide which version to get, Wii or PS3/360. lol and believe me, or not, I am thinking in getting both versions. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

*incidentaly, in an interview blurb i read over on gonintendo, Dan Akroyd says he likes the way he (and everyone else) looks on the Wii version the best saying something along the lines of "they make me look like a character out of The Incredibles, and anyone that looks like an incredible is just plain cool in my book!"

The ghost effects in movies 1 and 2 are pretty cheesy, though quite loveable.

Bustin' makes me feel good. I'll never get tired of that song.Personally, I like the Wii version's look better. I'll take The Real Ghostbusters over a bunch of mannequins any day.
