how do u reset the memory in advance wars for GBA?
« on: April 10, 2003, 09:05:06 AM »
i just recently got my hands on a used copy of advance wars for GBA and i absolutely love it! however, id like to really make the game "my own", but can't figure out how to erase the memory and start fresh. one faq said to press L, select, and right on the d-pad at the beginning, but that doesn't seem to work. any ideas??

ps. i didnt get an instruction manual with my game, so i apologize if the answer is in there.

thanks!!!

Looked over my instruction book for the game and it says pretty much what you posted.  Only difference would be that it says to do it when powering up the Gameboy, rather than simply "at start".  It says you should then get the "Delete Game Data Screen" and select yes and confirm with the a button.  Tried it with my copy and it worked.  I assume you were trying after the game had started due to the faq you read being worded poorly.  Hope it works for you.
