Nintendo Power did that when I subscribed in the mid-90's. You put them all together and it made pictures of Link, Mario and Donkey Kong.
Except they messed up the picture of Mario and erroneously printed one of the spines on two different issues, and Mario ended up having three eyes.

Wow that brings me back..

Designs were different here in Europe... Player's Choice had silver boxes, Wind Waker's limited edition came in a golden box.

See, If i was a serious collector i'd wet my pants over that Golden box for WW and wouldn't lose sleep over the fat that it doesn't match the rest of my collection.

If you were a serious collector, you'd buy both the gold and regular versions.

A serious collector wouldn't display the gold case with the rest of the normal games, it would go in a display with other special games. So there still wouldn't be an odd-coloured game on the shelf.

If Nintendo is willing to release games like Zangeki no Reginleiv in America, I don't care what color the cases are.

You said "If i was a serious collector." You wouldn't mind it because you're not a serious collector, it seems.

I would like it in black just for the collector value.

Am I personally the only one that found the red box art for NSMBWii fitting...?

No. Mop it up seems one of a few who are looking for uniformity in their all white collection while trying to segregate the colored cases and ban them from the shelves of her collection.

Well, I have a dream, that one day, on the shelves of all gamers, we will be able to have game cases of all colors and labels. Red Cases, Black Cases, Blue Cases and Green Cases. I have a dream, that one day, all cases of all colors will be able to sit on the shelves of even the most avid collectors and just be cases. There will be no need for the cases of color to shed it's identity to fit into the predominantly white collection that most collectors enjoy today.

That is the dream I have. I hope you can share that dream with me.

I quite like all the different coloured boxes.  Adds a bit of spice to the library.

Can you explain why you find it fitting?

Because Mario wears red?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
