Brawl's US voices
« on: February 29, 2008, 04:08:15 PM »
Someone snatched a copy of the US version an recorded some voice clips.

You can listen to them here.

I'm just happy they didn't use Spaniard Metaknight...

Metaknight almost sounds like Darth Vader.
I want to know what Wario and Olimar sound like, or if Cpt. Falcon sounds the same.

I'm sure Wario sounds the same. Charles Martinet always does the voices for both versions of the game. Olimar never spoke (save for the unintelligible "Louie" cry from Pikmin 2) and I'm sure Cpt. Falcon will stay the same.

I want to know how Pokemon Trainer sounds like.

Personally like the voice from Kirby Right Back at Cha for Metaknight much better.
Also why does it sound like everyone is out of an old movie?

Oh, what did they do to my poor Ike?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Ike's is tolerable...Pit's isn't... =|

And why does Falco now sound like a Rocky ripoff?

Well Fox and Meta Knight both sound good, and Falco and Ike are OK, but Pit was just horrible.

They should have used the voice from the Captain N series for Kid Icarus (or "Pit", if you will).

Not only that, but Pit's script should have been completely re-worked to include -acus on the end of every other wordacus.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

The guy has more stuff up now, including Pokemon Trainer, Jigglypuff, Marth, Sonic, and Snake, plus Snake's DK and Samus codecs.

Pokemon Trainer sounds very close to Ash, although the voice is deeper.

Pit's voice makes baby Jesus cry.

The rest of the voices are just ok... Oh well, they might be annoying but I'm not playing the game to hear them talk.

Aww he's not that bad.  Kinda reminds me of an 80s/90s anime dub which IMO fits Pit in a way.

My only gripe is Pokemon Trainer's voice.  I think I would've much preferred the old voice for Ash by Veronica Taylor.

See, I was thinking that too, but PT doesn't really look anything like Ash; I think it's good he has his own voice.
