How does one "accidentally" purchase light bulbs? Were you faced?

I needed to get some stuff home. I figured i could take it back in an hour or so. On the walk home i lost the receipt.

GameFAQ's is to blame because they are the only logical choice. When all else fails, blame them.

I completely sympathize with bugz, one night I just got of the computer after reading Gamefaqs and went over and my wife was talking back to me, so beat her.

Blamed gamefaqs for it.  See the connection?

If the light bulbs are incandescent, save and cherish them. Soon you'll only be able to buy fluorescent bulbs, which emit harsh and discomforting light and are toxic.

Have you ever worked on anything small in a room with fluorescent bulbs? It SUCKS.  I try building my computer in one of those rooms and it was terrible, I couldn't see well enough at all under that light.

If they really are toxic that's quite annoying. :/  Goddamn hippies

Buying light bulbs is for suckers. I take all the blue lights they use to keep the local druggies from injecting in the public toilets and have discos in my own home.

Some of us in progressive nations have emissions targets to meet. I threw all the incandecents that came with this rental in the bin where they belong.

I think saving energy is important. The (sadly discontinued) Honda Insight is my dream car. But there are some things I'm not willing to give up for energy savings. One is air conditioning - if it's 100 degrees out I'm going to turn on the AC. Another is good quality light.

Light is important. It's important because light is the only thing we ever see. Nothing but light enters our eyeballs. Lighting affects our mood, which affects our work, our relationships and our outlook on life. Ever watch Firefly? The ship in that show makes me happy - it's a space I'd love to exist in. And a big part of that is how it's lit.

Energy saving lights make me uncomfortable. I've heard this might be because they're whiter than regular lights, or because of their flicker. All I know is, I went over to a friends house and found that a place I once thought cozy now made me a little ill-at-ease. I realized it was the twisty lights in the sockets - they were making everything look sickly and wrong.

tl;dr: Light is important; florescent lights suck and I'm never installing any in any home of mine.
