Radio Free Nintendo's been going on for quite a while now. We had our One Year Anniversary some months back, but with Episode 75, we feel we've reached a new high (or low, depending on who you ask). So we celebrate this by going all out in our first two segments. Evan "This Is How You Pronounce Oregon" Burchfield stopped by, so Mike and I had to cut loose and make with the jokey-jokes. Hope you enjoy it, you freaking ingrates.

To punish you (for being ingrates), we also cut our last segment, featuring Steven Rodriguez talking about E For All. Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts (and you being ingrates) prevented it from getting off the ground. There's plenty more to enjoy, though, from crazy listener mail, rumors of a new Skies of Arcadia, and of course, the September NPDs. You don't want to miss it!

See ya next week, folks!

Despite missing a feature and 2 days late this episode was still very good. Good jokes, good Video Game commentary (Mike) and of course good old Evan.
I give the episode a
A+

You never said who this mystery Zelda defender was. Anyone we would know?

I highly doubt you would know someone who would email us about how much our magazines suck.

You would be suprised. Heck, I'm not very fond of your magazine either. You clearly sell your cover story to the highest bidder. Like that Shadow the Hedgehog cover.

His name is top secret.

So how did you guys like hearing Solid Snake? I had no idea the gang tracked down Hayter at E For All until Windy gave me the MP3.

Indeed, that was the one and only Solid Snake. I wouldn't have gone through with the ridiculous skit otherwise. That just would've been random.

This week we should use Snake again but without the horrible skit around it.  (Sorry, Karl.)

Best. Intro. Ever.

Concerning E4, 18k wasn't that bad. Remember, this is open to the public, who in turn had to spend some good of chunk of change to attend, as opposed to E3 and other media summits where most journalists and guests have their stay paid for.

Just beat Sin and Punishment today after playing it at a snail's pace; it could definitely warrant a direct sequel, convulated story line notwithstanding. With Wii Ware taking off in 2008, what better place to release it?

I remember Skies of Arcadia as the game that wouldn't quit. One of the longest games I've played, most likely due to very, very frequent random battle system.  It was whimiscal ride all the way though. But I'm skeptical of the Sega of today handling development duties....

I just wanted to mention that David Hayter is a really cool guy.  When requesting for him to do the bumper, I essentially interrupted dinner with his wife, but he was really happy to do it, saying "it's what I'm here for."  He even suggested leaving the area in order to get a cleaner recording and was exceedingly gracious throughout the whole thing.

It's too bad Charles Martinet didn't make it to VGL this time; that would have been an interesting dialog.

1 2

I tried to link them off of the pictures, but this forum software sucks.
Anyway, the first is David Dayton from TMK, David Hayter, and me.  The second is random soldier from Metal Gear Solid and Charles Martinet.
