Echochrome on PS3
« on: June 13, 2008, 01:07:41 AM »
I am not sure if any of you guys who have PS3s have checked this game out but you NEED to. Perhaps one of the most unique puzzle games since, well, Portal. Basically the premise is that you have to lead this wireframe person through a relatively "simple" level but the character can only progress the level depending on which camera angle you have set up. For example, if there is a gap between two walk ways and you need to get accross it, you need to shift the camera so that gap is hidden which in the games world means it no longer exists. Things get even more complex when you have to fall through a hole and angle the camera so the character falls onto a top level platform. The game is a real treat and will really play tricks with your mind!

Yeah, played it, got frustrated with the touchy controls, walked away one level away from finishing it. It looks cool as hell though.

Why aren't you sharing your PSN name? Don't want any of us hoodlums junking up your Home (when it comes out...)?

This game looks like it would just irritate me. Like Sudoku.

It is a game for serious gamers. Obviously you are not a serious gamer. ;)

I bought it and found the mechanic a bit unpredictable and frustrating.

That said, in the right frame of mind, it can be a good zen game.

I played the demo. It's ok. I agree with Pale in that it can be "a bit unpredictable and frustrating", specially when you need to jump, otherwise it is fine.

Sudoku on the DS is great. At least the version in Brain Age.
