Finally got around to listening to the podcast.  I must say I was amused.  Karl reading through the news stories on the main page while I followed along in my browser was a special treat.  

Your opinion on Castlevania II is completely unwarranted and I have a feeling you don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about.  I hope Jonny or Mike (or Jonny's friend Kevin, if he's old enough) had some better insight into the game in the original podcast.  The game suffers from a really bad translation and lots (read: all) of the puzzles are completely inane by today's standards but the game was pretty revolutionary for its time.  Show some respect.
