Me too. Except I'm always right.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Well, rather than send Windy a message or two, I just thought I'd ask a question here about the whole hiring process. I'm not sure if Windy is getting a few messages from people asking what is happening or not but just to be on the safe side and not fill his mailbox up, I'll try this method.

I was just wondering how this process will work. Are you going to contact a few people and ask them more questions or are you just going to hire from what was submitted? If there are follow-up interviews, is there a date to expect them? This way if the date passes, it will help end the suspense for some people. Is this hiring going to happen right away or is it a ways off from now?

I think this information would be beneficial for a lot of people wondering what is happening and not just myself. I don't know if you want to post a bit more information on how this process works but it would be appreciated.

Ah, the suspense. It reminds of me a mafia game, waiting to see if one is still alive for the next day.

I can't talk for Windy, but the way I was hired, it went as follows:

I turned in my application in late October (2004 if you're wondering), and asked a few questions about the position, along with my application/resume'. Jonny got back to me a week or two later, answering what I'd asked. Then things went a bit quiet, and I didn't hear anything back again until the middle of January (2005, obviously). On the 19th of that month, agreements were met, and I had my first article assignment that very night (the 2004 Louie Awards).

Your experience may not be the same, but I definitely wouldn't be expecting too much too soon.
I am Karl Castaneda's news-posting clone, also known as Karl Castaneda #2. I have an inferiority complex, thanks to my being a clone. Fear me!

We had more applications when Karl was hired.  It should not take three months this time.

Because the people who would know check this particular thread.  Is NWR considered a charity or a Non-Profit?  The only reason I'm asking is to see if someone or something could make a donation and write it off there taxes.  With the increase in ads I'm assuming Bills are getting tight.  I be all for an NWR shirt or other merchandise.

It only took a week when I was hired.  Not that that necessarily translates to this occasion.
