I admit that I don't know much about PC gaming. What I have gathered, however, is that Blizzard is so protective of their IPs that they absolutely do not release anything until they're happy with it (which is probably why Starcraft Ghost is in development hell).

If I were a fan, I wouldn't be too worried. At the very least, it should play well. At the same time, I understand that fans have been waiting like 117 years for a sequel so hopes for the title are through the roof.

I agree with PartyBear.  StarCraft was really gritty, and so far SC2 looks like plastic toys.  It looks pretty nice for what it is, but it feels off to me.

There's a new video up.  It's on the StarCraft II home page.  The game still looks like StarCraft.  You may want to check it out, though, if you can, look for a streaming version somewhere else online, that torrent download thing Blizzard does is slow.

Well, Warhammer 40k figures are actually models. They break far too easily to be toys.

I still say Blizzard just takes most of their stuff from Warhammer and Warhammer 40k.

Of course they do. Didn't they add Assault Space Marines now?

Don't take this the wrong way but if you do any sort of RTS with a touch of space theme or fantasy in it you have a very good chance of running into something Warhammer has already done.  It just seems so huge and encompassing.

Edit: lol.  The splash screen for the blizzard website is funny.

While I definetely do not like the disjoint between the little character picture and the unit itself this quote sort of explains it:

What will StarCraft II's rating be?

We are aiming for a T-rating in the US, and similar ratings elsewhere in the world, but those details won't be finalized until we get closer to release.

Which is much easier to do with something that looks more cartoony.

A half-hearted attempt at least. Assault Marines are named as such not because of their thruster packs, but their focus on close-combat.

Aww, this means no more huge splashes of blood...

Just got done listening to the hour panel and watching the 20 minute gameplay video in its entirety.  I've come off with mixed feelings.  The Mechanical units look nice and some of the physic stuff is cool.  Then on the flipside I was sort of bummed when I heard that Blizzard now takes the approach of Multiplayer first and Singleplayer second.
