A Redmond city official confirms that Nintendo of America will move three divisions (about 80 employees) to another city.

 According the the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, a local newspaper which often reports on the business dealings at Nintendo of America, the rumors are true: NOA is indeed moving some of its operations to either San Francisco or New York City.  The paper spoke with Redmond's deputy planning director, Jim Roberts, who received the information first hand from Bruce Meyer, a real estate executive at NOA. The company headquarters will remain in Redmond, Washington, just outside Seattle and literally across the street from Microsoft's headquarters.    

The upended divisions include sales, marketing, and advertising; about 80 employees will be affected.  Game Informer Online previously reported that these people will have the option of leaving the company or moving to the new location, wherever it may be.  The destination city and exact date of the move have yet to be confirmed.  Nintendo of America's other operations staying in Redmond include administration, public relations, localization, game testing, technical support, publishing, and more.  Their primary North American manufacturing plant in nearby West Bend will not be affected, either.
