First off, that's garbage. Backwards compatibility improved with the 360 over time after launch as they got more games working under the emulation (and I believe software based emulation is more common these days. You can claim to support BC and show you're working towards 100% emulation by updating regularly without having to reach the mythical 100% support. Prove me wrong).
How will the PS3 do the complete opposite when they are planning on the same thing (intermittent software updates)?

Whut? Sounds like another rubbish bias. When he mentions an interest in games that are actually out on the 360
right now then maybe you build yourself a bandwagon and get everyone aboard. But for now its going to get more use as a DVD player.
My advice is this:
If you want to buy games for the Xbox 360 or PS3
right now, and you can't wait until the price drops, then go and pick it up.
If you'd rather just play the games that you have right now and wait for that price drop, then get a 2nd hand PS2.
Otherwise, don't play them. I've got a lot of PS2 games still even after I sold off my PS2. I'll probably get the Blu-ray player
lawlps3lawl when its not priced at a king's ransom.
