Wii Production Video + Zelda Disc
« on: November 09, 2006, 02:49:07 AM »
Take some time to watch this 3 min video.  It goes through a little of the production and shows the official boxing, disc of zelda, and a mini interview with Perrin.

The TP Wii disc and boxarts are the best of their kind I have ever seen...

I like the disc art - the white background with bronze colored graphics are very clean & classy. It's much nicer than the Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz "basic" blue.

That video was pretty good, but you need to play the theme song from Pee Wee's Big Adventure while you watch the Ninsweatshop workers pack everything.

*DAAAH DAAH DAH DAH DA-DA DADADA! DADA DADA DADA DADA DUH DUH DUUH DUUH!*

The Zelda disc looks cool.  I think black would be better than white, but it's still awesome.
That's my opinion, not yours.

lame video, but interesting, it was too boring. they should have used like action cutshots instead of dwelling on the employees for so long, it was depressing to see them packaging up what could be the greatest thing since sliced bread and have that same dead (produced from working 8 hours a day 5 days a week) look on their faces that I have at my job. especially the dude who's job it is to put the boxes next to each other, can you imagine that lunch time conversation?

"So one of the boxes didn't have a green tag today", "Oh really?", "No, he's telling the truth I saw that one too", "Yeah I thought Miyamoto would like fly down and kill someone!"

"lol", "lol" , "lol", "lol"

Silly monkeys; give them thumbs they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an a eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.

Most excellent Blackplague. Wii porn...my keyboard is all sticky now... But seriously, I agree with Rhoq; the Zelda disc is much classier looking than the Monkey Ball disc. But then again, monkey+classy? Hmm... instead of blue perhaps they should have gone with poo-brown.
Yes! More ACTION! Like, they should have had a video with a Wii box attempting to escape, holding an employee hostage and making a break for his car, only to get taken out by SWAT team's sniper. Then they could have played Taps with a sign "Sorry little Johnny Walker from Taylor Texas. Looks like your Wii wont be making it in time for Christmas."
Do, or do not. There is no try.

lol i didn't even mean all that although that wouldv'e been cool.

I just meant like show what they showed, but show it quicker, 2 seconds of boxes, 2 seconds of remote packaging, so on and so on.

So the Wii is going two-by-two into the ark of the living room, and the flood is coming to wipe out the competition; Reggie would be Noah. Subtle.

Wow. That disc looks so good I almost don't care about Wii discs being monochrome anymore.

edit: aaah, they went with the two tone boxart instead of the solid gold.

Oh, it'll sell, don't worry. I already know of several hot cake vendors that have closed up shop because they knew they couldn't compete with Zelda.

This is the kind of video they send out to the press and studios and stuff, in order to use the footage as stock to get a visual reference on a (potential) Wii story. I've worked with a couple of them from GM, and they're always pretty straightforward, infomercial type material. I mean boring

Oops pow suprise!

Yeah it's just B-roll. They leave the production up to the real press and the blogs just spew out the raw footage.

It's like Nintendo is waving their huge balls right in my face.
