New gamplay trailer

This one actually shows Trauma Center and some shots of RRR.

Rayman will apparently include a lightgun minigame, which is all the more reason for me to get it.

Be careful calling things light gun games.  I don't want you to be disappointed.  You won't play the plunger game by holding the remote up like a gun, more like a 3D pointer like Metroid.  It is a ton of fun though.  Rayman is going to be one of the best mini-game games out.

Trauma Center was incredibly hard at the press event in september.  I hope that sitting on the couch and being able to brace my arm a bit will make it playable.

You can also see a shot of the Wario Ware driving boss game in the video.  It was surprisingly fun and had a very interesting not so responsive feel to it.  I have no doubt in my mind that this will be the best WarioWare game yet.

They also show in this video how they made the move from using the stick to pull the grapple beam to actually pulling the nunchuck back in Metroid.  That was a welcome change too.

The video also does a really good job of showing the kind of motions needed for the sword combat in Zelda.  If anything, what he is doing is a little towards the extreme of what you actually have to do, and, as you can see, he isn't flailing his arms around.

Nintendo is doing a good job of pushing these promo videos closer to how you actually play the games.

But from the looks of the scene, it look like the player is on rails while shooting things popping around the screen, giving it a light gun game feel to it.

Am I right or not?

Well yeah, you're right.  It's on rails shooter.  I guess I'm just still paranoid people are expecting to hold the remote like a gun.  See, there are cross hairs on the screen that you move around.

Hey Pale: can you try to hold it like a gun, or will that not work?  I didn't really expect to be used like an old light gun anyway, just curious.

Woo-hoo for game footage!  I wonder if the American ads will turn out something like this?
That's my opinion, not yours.

Those are probably the US ads.  Actually does the Wiiosk have a little TV above the main TV?  Those could go on that if memory serves me right.
I figure most of those people where just actors but methinks the person playing Zelda, Prime, and TC was a tester or something akin to it.  He had the no nonsense this is what I do for a living look.

Edit:
Custom Wiis
I actually like quiet a few of those.

It's a little long for a TV commercial and besides, a girl was playing Excite Truck.

It really won't work near as well.  It's hard to explain, but when holding the controller like a gun you tend to rely more on arm movements and less on angling the remote.  Most of the time your arm is close to perpendicular from what you are trying to shoot at.  The best way to play the games is to hold the remote relatively still and angling it towards your target.  Imagine holding a laser pointer still and shooting that way... that's kind of how it works.  You need the cross hairs on the screen to give some relative movement to the controller because where you are pointing is actually based on the sensor bar.

Pretty nice video, the actors were good enough that no one in particular stood out as being really bad or anything (not like some of the previous Wii videos... or god forbid that "sit down with the PS3" NBA one). Was kind of sad that nothing was shown for Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but it's multi-console and not nearly as big a deal as something like Madden so they probably figured it wasn't worth it.

This would make a awesome in store advert type of thing, where they would be allowed to show longer videos.

When I last viewed this it had 49,000+ views.  It was posted Yesterday.  All Nintendo had to do was produce it.  Leak it to the right people.  *Boom* up on YouTube hitting its target more *core demographic.  Then they can go and pay for the more casuals view.  Also getting CNN doing the news makes it more likely you'll be in the news.  I'm sure they'll be paying them something.
