There would be 1 townie, 1 Mafia, and 1 Killer if the recruit went through. The game is over. They could collectively vote out the last townie if the game wasn't stopped.

no, your overlooking the fact that your already voted out

as of now we have it set up so that your voted out, if you recruited the killer..it would make no differnce because he would just be voted out by the townies that are left...there is four of us..if teamed you can only take out two of us tonight, one of you would die, and then there would be the killer and two townies...the townies could vote out the killer, and the killer could take out one townie, but that leaves 1 person...a townie

What Perm said.
I knew that once we had 4 people voting the same that we could eliminate every person of suspicion, regardless of however many mafia hits are made. Having the killer on our side gave us our own pseudo-mafia in addition to the voting majority each night. Its just a shame that we had to cut down so many townies because we lacked the intel in the last few days (MaryJane, I'm looking in your direction).

The killer has no logical reason to help you. He's either pulling your strings or is an idiot for sacrificing his win for townies. His only chance at victory is joining the mafia.

But I will put you two down in the "he's an idiot" category. No worries. I do too.

In regards to this, the role of the killer is not a cookie-cutter vigilante. He is not a part of the townies or the mafia, but that doesn't mean he has to remain neutral at all times. I had originally formed an alliance with Grubdog and Pale to create a vigilante team. But that failed when Grubdog was blown up and my killer role was magic'd away from me. But as soon as I received my new role I knew who the new serial killer was. We were both townies at some stage and so we just worked together on a day-to-day basis. Sharing information, discussing rumours, and just rallying the townies.

If you don't like that you run your own game where everyone must do as you say, with no room for PMs or independent decision making.

he's not an idiot..there was nothing he could have done..the magician, and the drifter both revealed his position a few days apart. It was pure randomness this whole thing got put together. If anything if the killers position wasnt comprimised, the game would have been much different.

No need to piss and moan about rules, Shift. Nobody is talking about rules.

But if you still want to persist about rules, they say the Killer can only win by being the last man standing. If he wants to throw away his chance, that's his perogative. It's not against the rules, and I never said it did, but it doesn't mean it's not a bad gameplay move.

I'd take even 33% chance over 0%.

if your so against the killer, why dont you hit him? That would just save us another day? The killer is outnumbered..thats his problem..he can't kill everyone if his secrets out. If i hadnt found out who the killer was(by magician switching), and the drifter hadn't figured him out then he could kill silently. He could have taken out the drifter who found him out, but I found out who he was before that could happen. If two people know who he is then if one person is killed bu the killer..all the other person has to do is report him to everyone..in which case he is taken out.

he may not be in he last position on the last day, but being one of the last three is a win as well.

That's why you allign with the mafia and double-cross the townies. By the time they figure it out, it's too late for anybody to do anything. That's the only chance he's got.

Pull the stick out, Shift. It has nothing to do with my death either. You just don't grasp the strategy that would kill you if the killer had thought his choice through.

I said Good Day, Sir!

if he aligns with the mafia then nothing happens..two people get taken out, and that leaves two townies 1 killer, killer takes out 1 person, but gets voted out in the process

If he aligned with the mafia and convinces one townie to change their vote, their collective 3 votes makes a majority against a townie. Then the rest get slaughtered that night.

why would the townie change his vote? that takes the townie from winning position into losing position..then that person would be an idiot

I've seen dumber things this game. Not everyone was as convinced, as my PM box shows even after what the killer said today. Had they no such information from the killer, they could have been persuaded.  Again, I'd still take a moderate chance over no chance.

"Coulda. Woulda. Shoulda. Its all in the past. "

Coincidentally, that's my thought on the Killer's chances.

And that's why Mafia will never understand the likes of you, Mr. Killer. A killer instinct indeed. Your not Mafia material afterall. Your Front Page Obituary story will join Black Shadow's picture on the Dumb Death Wall of Shame!

Oh, and I found my racer's Return-to-Sender label under the car seat. Make sure my pimp ride gets to its final destination. Thanks.

And now... with my last breath... I utter the word.... "wow."

Sorry I've been away. I'll officially close this thread. And I guess that's it for this game. In case anyone is wondering, MaxVelocity just won with a successful recruitment of the killer and you have just voted out a townie. That gives MaxVelocity the 2-2 ratio they needed to win. BigJim was right. Wow.

I'll post the big story up in a bit.
Whoever said, "Cheaters never win" must've never met Khushrenada.

" Khushrenada      Hey Perm. I just forgot to switch the roles last night. You are a townie."

looking back at that..what does that mean? Because If indeed you misdirected me, by vague statements. For instance saying i'm a townie implies i'm a regular townie, not a magician. Saying nothing happened would be clearer. If I had a clear message then i would have changed the bandwagon vote to Vudu...hmm this looks like a disputed game
