I'm pretty sure Atari renounced all claims to the hardware end of their business back when they were part of Hasbro.

PartyBear's right.  There's nothing about the Commodore 64 on the VC at all in that article.  It's just about Epyx remaking some of their games.

Though Commodore 64 games on the VC would be a pretty cool, provided they offered Amiga games as well.

And I'd actually BUY THEM, too. The reason? Can't find a goddamn working Amiga emulator and the games on the internet.

NES, SNES, etc. emulators and ROMs are a dime a dozen.

Yep, and that they *might* include the emulated games with the remakes. *Might*. So this whole topic is way, way off base. Sadly, it seems most aren't even reading the story or the following topics pointing this out either. :-S

Oh well, that sucks!  I read "Epyx" I read "Impossible Mission" and then I quit.  Hopefully this new game is half-decent.

My mistake.  I didn't read the article close enough before I put this in.  However everyone and there brother are talking about some Epyx games coming to the Wii.  Here's one link...

Apperantly there was an issue of Retro Gamer in which System 3 announced they were bringing some old games to the Wii, DS, and PSP.  Here's another link to Shacknews about the same subject...

I find it hard to believe that these games would get pressed on disc, but I could be wrong.
I guess that's what I get for not cross checking more closely.

Some of these games are being published by "Play It".  Here is their official website...

Oh well, all that matters is a remake of California Games for Wii is confirmed AND it's sticking to 2D. Imagine all the fun and frustration of that bloody awkward surfing game with the Wiimote! =D
