Yes, finally better quality pics not some screens taken from a dark monitor and stretched out with photoshop. But for some reason IGN still likes to stretch out the pictures to make them look worst. Just compare the 2 shots from PGC to the ones in IGN. Goddammit, why are they trying to mess up the pics?

Agreed, Ian.  This media blowout would have put me in heaven a week ago before I realized that PS3-level graphics are the only thing worth paying for this gen.

I'm loving the graphics on this game, really can't wait to get it.

I really love the character design in this. The differences are subtle but these are far more colourful than any Mario game before. The black makes it stand out so much more. There isn't necessarily more colour, but it's much richer. Also, Mario isn't realistically textured (ala SSBM) but he is definitely looking much less basic. I'd say they perfected 3D Mario at last. And that Ice Planet is STUNNING.
