She was talking about her bad memory last week, so I mentioned Brain Age and how it seems to be really helping my memory.  Over the weekend, she stumbled upon an ad for Brain Age in a fitness magazine and was further intrigued.

So I brought it to work today to show her.

She got a 63 (she's not near that actual age).

I laughed.

At her.

Am I mean?

But now she's definitely getting a DS Lite and Brain Age.  I have helped spread the word!

Hey, my Brain Age the first time I did it was in the low sixties.  It doesn't mean anything.  The next time I did it, it was in the high 30s.  Since then, I haven't been above 30, typically scoring in the mid 20s (my actual age) with hitting the coveted 20 on a regular basis (depending on which of the random tests it gives.

On a side note, I don't think I've ever been able to score better than a Brain Age of 26 when Speed Counting is involved.  I think that exercise is horribly broken.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I'm 26, getting between 20-26 is pretty common for me, though I had one really bad day where I got 33.

I have trouble getting 20 when Stroop Test is involved.  I think THAT is broken.  My mom, co-worker, and supervisor all seem to have trouble with BLUE.

It never recognises my yellow, that's the only one I have a problem with. I just chose other tests in it though. Calculations x 20, the maze one and the one with the numbers and colours that throb and bounce around.

Whenever I boot up Brain Age, I get a great score in Calculations x 20 the first time I play, then when I play it in the Brain Age test i'm about 6 seconds off the time I just got. Anyone else notice this happens to them? It keeps costing me an age of 20. I've been hovering at 21 for ages, after just a few 20s.

Heh, the same thing happened to us.  I told her to just give up and say orange.  Amazingly it worked!!  But just that one time.  She tried it the next blue and didn't work.  It was quite amusing.
