I also can't quite get 373, so I am stuck on 372 too. But I did get 351 in 1-5, but there is alot of improvement to be made.

I had two near-perfect runs when I got 373. Since then, I have not been able to repeat them (though I haven't tried much, either). I use regular-sized Mario for all of my runs. For comparison, I always enter the pipe at 383 and exit at 379.

I am also convinced that anything greater than 370 is impossible on 1-3.

Is there seriously no more interest in these speed runs? I love them, and I dare anybody to beat 423 on level 2-3. I'll post a video of mine again sometime soon, but I would like to see if anybody can beat that first though.

Edit: And while I'm at it, I'll add some new scores in there too.

I was wondering if you'd figure that out. Lets see if I can get that 423 on the full level.

Level 2-3 WITHOUT using the alternate exit: 425

As I said above, WITH the alternate exit: 439

I'm for the two flag score thing. That's the most accurate way of scoring, I think.

Oh, and one other thing, does showing up to the level already powered up, or should there be a rule for all upgrades be gained on the level. There are some places where time can be shaved off if you were powered up, but I only do that if I got the upgrade on the level. Does it matter?

well that explains why my time is 2 seconds shorter. I went into the level already with a power flower to get those pesky pirahna plants out of the way.

Alright, so I got your 439. Give me a minute and I'll raise you.

EDIT: So, maybe a bit more then a minute. It is possible to do better then that still. Without taking a fire flower in either. (Still waiting on clarification on that one too)

Oh, and Mario, you have my 1-4 wrong. Not a biggie, but for accurate records, it's good to at least have our numbers match...

Whoops, silly mistake there, thanks.

It doesn't matter which powerups you use, all scores are fair. I guess if you do get a time with mini mario though it'd be nice to say that you got it with him, or shell mario or whichever, just so we know. Since there's so many around the levels it might be a bit of a hassle to just stay small Mario all the time. Except for Giant Mario, he could probably exploit a big chunk of time somewhere by just ramming through stuff.

Just got 362 in 1-2.

Another second is possible as well! I can smell it. One time when i got 362 I messed up the end stairs clumsily, getting slightly stuck twice.

EDIT: God DAMN those red boxes are annoying!

YES! 373 on 1-4. That's all for now, i'm out of lives!

Yeah I knew my 1-2 could be better, and I believe I've gotten a 361 already, but dang I hate 1-4. I doubt I'm even going to try to beat that. I can't even get 372. That is a sweet score.

That'll teach me to update the scores at 4am! Fixed.

I practiced a ton in 1-4, I can get 373 in it 5 times in a row now, so much fun. It's fairly straight-forward when you find the right way to do it.

265 in 2-1. I'm surprised nobody has got that yet, it's a fairly straight forward level. 266 may be possible, as I was 0.1 seconds away from it on what seemed like a perfect run, but i'm not sure.

368 in 2-2. God damn that flying guy was irritating, just when I was thinking this entire game was made for speedruns he tards up out of nowhere.

I just defeated Bones Bowser in world 8, but then Baby Bowser ran off and created more worlds I have to play through. Cheap!
