Battle Stadium D.O.N.
« on: April 30, 2006, 03:55:10 AM »
So I just got this in my e-mail from Play-Asia:

Quote

Battle Stadium D.O.N. - Naruto, One Piece & Dragon Ball Z in one fighting game for PS2 & Gamecube

The ultimate anime battle is about to begin. After Nintendo's popular Nintendo DS™ Jump! Super Stars, Bandai-Namco is going to publish probably one of the most exciting anime fighting games ever in the entire video game history.

Have you ever wished to fight Naruto against Luffy? Or Goku against Chopper? Battle Stadium D.O.N. makes your dream come true. The game contains the most popular fighters from three V-Jump Manga series in one fighting game. Characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto (three of the currently most popular anime series) will stand up and battle against each other.

Just like Tomy's Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen series, Battle Stadium D.O.N. supports fights with up to four characters simultaneously. The game features a super combo system "Burst".

Unfortunately the complete character lineup or other details about Battle Stadium D.O.N. (D.O.N. stands for Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto) are not known at the moment. One thing however is for sure; the game will reach the attention of all anime fans and is expected to be among the hottest sellers this summer.

Be among the first to submit your preorder and increase your chance for possible preorder gifts as well as an early shipping date. Battle Stadium D.O.N. will ship on July 20th for PlayStation2™ as well as GameCube™ at US$ 64.90 only. A release outside of Japan has not been announced.

Too bad they left out Bleach (B.O.N.D. isn't any less dumb than D.O.N.), but there's some huge potential here....
Oops pow suprise!

they left Rurouni Kenshin out as well, shame

but the game sounds interesting, and they mention NGNT, so it left me wondering, who is the developer?

They should make an ultimate anime fighting game filled with hundreds of anime characters.

Why not add some TV show characters like Dr. Who, Columbo, Al Bundy or Mr. T (obviously not Chuck Norris, that'd be unfair) while we're at it?
