Friend code problem

Whenever I add someones friendcode, and they do the same for me, I can never see that they are online, or the game they started on mph. They can see these things, but i cant for some reason. Any suggestions?

Make sure they really added you.  They could be lying.

Yes they added me foo, because i played them. Its just that i had to start the game, because i couldnt see the one they started. So they can be on and see me, but i cant see them. Seriously, dont make jokes. I need help.
