I thought this was shown at E3, but I guess now it's confirmed again or something.
Now, who would buy the NES version of this game? Would they bother to have two versions of the same game that appear on the NES/Super NES/Genesis/Turbo Grafx-16?
If the button layouts are the same (and I recall they are), and if the stages are the same, then gameplay-wise they should be too similar, in which case I would vote for the TG-16 version in this case on graphics alone.
Bonk's Adventure: TG-16 > NES. (graphics)
Donkey Kong: Arcade > NES. (one more stage)
Super Street Fighter II: Super NES > Genesis. (controls) Actually, that probably goes for most games. Mortal Kombat is debateable, though... (blood or lack of it)
Though, back on topic...how many Bonk games are there? I remember being surprised when the NES Bonk came out because Bonk almost appeared as a mascot for the TG-16 (platforming heroes usually are; note the common association of Crash Bandicoot with the PlayStation)...
