IMPRESSIONS: Nintendo DS Browser
« on: May 10, 2006, 03:17:56 PM »
Written from the browser itself!

Neat, but needs a LOT of work. Very slow to load pages, and the program itself is slow to respond to menu choices. Took me twenty minutes to write and post this.

That's what he did, and it took him a long time. Isn't Jonny awesome?

This is a bit dissapointing to hear.  According to Opera developers though "64mb of ram is a minimum to run a decent web browser.  The ds has 4."  The fact that it is running at all is sweet news.  Would you believe it, this is the "killer ap" for my brother though?  This and the Lite has him hooked.

I'm extremely pleased to see this posted from the browser though.  I was hoping somebody would do that, and leave it to Jonny to do just that.  :-)

Haha.  Frickin' awesome.  Let's be frank, though:  20, actual minutes--you sh*t us not?

It took forever.  Half of that was scrolling down a drop-list to find "Nintendo DS Browser".  Also, it seems that the program is completely unresponsive while loading a page, and it loads slowly at least here at E3, so the impressions.cfm page gave me problems.  I couldn't click on any links on that page until the entire thing finished loading, which took a few minutes.  Even the menus don't respond while loading, and although there's a Stop button, it doesn't seem to work at this point.
