Better in the gameplay strategy forum, so I'm moving it there.

Pull the fishing rod out.  Flick forward to cast.

Tilt the remote downward to lower the line.

When you have a bite, use repeated lifting motions to tug the line forward.  You do not have to "pump" it rapidly, or lift with lightning speed.

Once the bobber goes under lift the remote above your head.

You don't really need to use bait.  Other than to catch the reekfish I found bait to be pretty worthless.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Did you talk to Prince Fishboy yet?  Or did you start fishing as soon as you heard about the reekfish?
