Yeah, I'm yet to actually see any 'portable' game system playable outside. Unless it's an overcast day.

...except for the original gba, yes?

Are the batteries the same size, meaning that I can plug a 1000 mAh battery into my old DS?

Looking at the lik-sang pictures, I'd say no.

I'd have rather them extend the DSlite 1/4th of an inch instead of having cartridges hanging out like that.  Seriously, that's poor craftsmanship.  Doesn't the new Opera browser coming out use both the DS and GBA cartridge ports?  That's going to look rather unsavy considering it has been advertised being used on the DSlite and all.  Oh well, it's not that far I guess.

Yeah, just look at that.  They managed to cram GBA cartridges into the micro but can't for the DSlite. =/

Perhaps we'll have to buy DS Lite compliant GBA games now...

Am I the only who doesn't give a freakin' crap about playing GBA games on my DS?  I mean, have you guys even tried playing them on it?  Ever try playing any of the Megaman Zero games?!  They're next to impossible, because Nintendo was too stupid to have the foresight to give the DS the ability to let you map your buttons to whatever you want on the gamepad.  That would have taken, oh, what, 5 lines of code to produce!?  And the buttons are hella-small, too - so it's kinda crappy playing a GBA game on a DS - esp. when I can just pull out my real (afterburner) GBA any time I want and play all of my GBA games, COMFORTABLY on them... I'm still waiting to fully experience one in my hands before I buy one.  I really love how DS Lite is smaller and lighter (my 2 biggest peeves with the DS) but man, those Navy Blue Lite's look REALLY enticing...

Then they'd be too small to fit correctly in the GBA and DS.  That wouldn't fly very well.

Considering the GBA function is a bonus, and in no way shape or form needed, you guys need to get over it. It isn't going to affect you while playing.

I don't think it's considered a 'bonus' when NoA constantly used GBA-Compatability as a featured selling point of the DS.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

LOL That can still be a bonus. Bonuses and extras are used to sell things all the time!

Besides, this isn't going to affect play. GB cartridges stick out of the GBA and that's fine (a lot more than 1/4" too).

IIRC, there will be two versions of Opera DS sold--one for the original DS and one for the DS Lite.  They'll have different sized GBA carts.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!
