Wow, this looks GREAT! 3D on the DS has come a long way. I'm not too fond of the character designs though, but they'll probably grow on me. With a good story and good music, i'd be sold.

Looks fantastic...And I really like the character designs! (Well, except for Aria, the creepy, white-haired alien woman...)

The whole look is extremely vibrant, I love it! Especially the small axe the old dude is swinging.

The battles aren't random though are they?

Holy Gawd.

That looks gorgeous.  They really know how to make the DS shine.

Iwata passed Namco a message in class about the secrets of how to do textures on DS. Looks really good. =o~

Unfortunately, I think they are...The "Tales of Rebirth" team is the one doing this one, and they have some sick fetish with random battles... =\

Ahh, thanks for the reply.

Thats too bad but as long as the battles are interesting (which it seems they will be) and its not walk three steps -> battle -> repeat, it won't be a big deal. If it is, exploring becomes rather tedious.

this game looks friggin amazing, i thought at first why is this in the ds thread it looks like a bad gc game. then my eyes opened a little more. (thursday is the begining of my weekend which means late night party) but still it looks great and we need a damn good rpg on the ds... what else is there? (i mean already, there are some solid looking not yet released ones). and give me random battles any day i love them. rpg's are my fav. :rool::

oh u got a link to this video?
Silly monkeys; give them thumbs they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an a eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.

I think it looks slightly better now with the interior shots, although I agree with some that the character designs aren't quite as polished as they could be.

Regardless, this game has jumped to the top of my most anticipated list for the system.

I have to agree, this game didn't impress me much last time I saw it, it seems to have improved.  Maybe they showed too much map-screen action in the previous media.

I like most of the character designs, but the main dude looks like Yu-Gi-Oh or Beyblade reject to me.
That's my opinion, not yours.

Eh, really? In November or so I saw some vids and screens that looked just as good. And they didn't have any map-screen action.. regardless, yeah, I'm anxiously awaiting this game.
