Donkey Kong returns to platforming, but with the zaniest controls ever.

Nintendo unveiled a very unique new Donkey Kong platforming game at their E3 press conference this year. The game, titled Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is actually controled with the Donkey Konga drum controller. Players will guide DK through the jungle by hitting the bongo drums, doing drum rolls, and clapping. DK will also be swing on vines. In addition to running and jumping, players can clap to make DK clap his hands and emit sound waves which will stun his enemies.  Donkey Kong isn't alone in his journey. He'll have help from a host of new animal pals, plus he'll be able to ride vehicles. Screenshots have revealed that the famous ape will have a red-eyed rival. He'll square off aganist this doppleganger in percussive boxing matches.    


Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is due out in 2005 and is sure to be one of the most unique games avaliable on the GameCube.
