Nintendo Tetris
« on: May 16, 2005, 03:01:35 PM »
This game will be present according to reports....

They better get it right!

I have a feeling they're going to use the 2 screens as the whole play area, but I hope they offer an option to just stick to one screen.  I can envision the gap between the 2 pissing me off as I try to control falling blocks from one screen to the other.

The gap shouldn't have too much influence. When it gets fast blocks are moved by instincts alone.

That would be too sweet. I haven't played TA for ages. The only Tetris type game that could actually hold the same coloured candle as Tetris. The shade was slightly different though.

Is it just me or has the DS already announced more good puzzle titles coming to the US in its first 6 months since launch than the GBA has in its whole lifetime

I want Metetris.  (A Tetris game based on the Metroid universe)

What way, since Metroid Dread and Nintendo Tetris were both absent...we can have both games return.

How about Metris Attack? I think that would be even better.

Metris Attack is a great name.  I like it.

Ha.

Remember that game Pac-Attack.

I always thought that game had alot of untapped potential.  Add a few more devices to that puzzle game, and throw Metroids, and Samus Aran into the mix and you got yourself a interesting puzzle game.

Powerups can even be dropped with pieces and you have to have Samus in her ball form roll over them.

Power Bombs can clear large areas of blocks and such.
Spiderball can allow her to move back up and around the path again.
Space Jump can allow you to press jump and have samus jump to another opened path.
Bombs can allow you to blow up cracked bricks to open up a new path.

It's a new genre.  Puzzle-Adventure.

I want Metetris.
Ask, and yee shall receive.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Bill, you're running Linux?

I get my Tetris fix from T.O.D. or Bastet.
