I'm rather sure Play-Yan is supposed to (or at least speculated to) come to America, sometime around when the GBMicro launches.  Until then I recommend spending your money on some sort of grammar program or perhaps that touch dic for DS.

AFAIK it's not an offence to admit to using drugs previously. (At least in Australia!)

Back on topic though... If it were being released in the US around the same time as Micro wouldn't there have been an announcement at the same time as Micro's??

Hmmm, good point, very curious...perhaps we'll hear something of it when the pricing is announced officially, or else I'd say our drug enduced friend is SOL.

ok, but if i was going to import or buy 3rd party media player, is there one that outshines the rest? is there one that can take a larger media card then 1gb?

The booklet NoE gave out at GC listed the "Play Yan 2" so they MIGHT be thinking about a local release...

So no concrete details on Europe's strategy for the Play-Yan eh....I'm not even going to get into America. I have no idea what the hell they are doing on this matter. If they are serious about the Play-Yan they might as well give word about it now and let word of mouth build awareness of its existence and what it does. Makes me think the US is still deliberating on bringing it over.

Europe at least has confirmed their intentions for it...and the "Play-Yan 2" tag that KDR has pointed out certainly indicates some changes being made (likely to the device's OS)

The Play-Yan uses SD cards, theStonedRat. SD cards are relatively cheap...a 1 GB card can be had for around $50 with a decent deal...even 2 GB cards have been seen for less than $100.
You could also go the route of the GB Movie Player, an unofficial HK device that has some popularity and notoriety. It accepts CF cards, of similar price and capacity to SD.
