Zookeeper? Yeah, what better game is there to show off next-gen graphics...

This looks like Ms will do better this round. And prove the laws of inverse darwinism in technology (the worst tech always becomes standard) once again, together with the rule that noone will keep the top spot more than two gens.

Or maybe they'll prove that the Dreamcast was the rule, not the exception...

Heh, I don't see a single Rare game on that list.

Doesn't Microsoft consider the launch Window to be any game released  within 4 to possible 6 months after launch of the system?

Nintendo tried that with the Cube and Smash Brothers and Pikmin and we cursed them for not having games out.

Nothing on that list seemed interesting to me yet.

I doubt this is an accurate "release window" lineup.  There are three DOA games on that list.  Since all of those games are made by Team Ninja I really doubt they'll have all of them done so close together.  Plus RE5 is coming out for the PS3 as well and I doubt the Xbox 360 will get it first.  This is really more of an "every game announced so far" list.

Ian: The DOA games are made with one set of assets, you only need one nude version of Kasumi and slap a few different outfits on. Besides, who says Team Ninja doesn't have enough people to make more than one game at once?

I suppose it's doable but three games within six months doesn't match their output level in the past.

Plus this is Microsoft.  Do you seriously expect them to be even remotely realistic when promoting a launch lineup?

Ian great find and analysis.

Also, its not smart to release 3 DOA games together.  They will fight eachother for sales and in the end hurt the bottom line of all games.  However, if you release the games each 4-5 months apart then you protect your interests better.  Each game will sell well and the market won't be flooded with the same game.

Nintendo has always been very good with timing their games to get maxium sales for their products...and not over saturating the market.  Though this year I am really worried Mario may oversaturate this holiday season.

I think Ian is right, i think it should be a list of 'Games Annouced by Japanese Developers So Far' list.  Winning 11 is on the list and that doesn't come out till next holiday season on x360.  But it is good to see MS atleast attempt to put up afight for Japan this time, maybe they will actually make some ground this time around and confuse people o wether to buy PS3 or X360.

I don't know if I can consider 38 Japanese 3rd party games a fight yet.

I bet there are that main games being developed for the Revolution by 3rd parties right now.
(I really don't buy the idea the no 3rd parties at all know about Revolution and none are developing for it.)

the bolded word is the key word in that sentence, they still don't have any major exclusive games that are guaranteed to draw in Japanese games. All the big name titles are also coming to PS3 and I'm sure that more than half of those games will come to Rev too.
