admittedly, pretty slick, but I don't know that it has to do with the rev in any way

More people would respond if you could put a direct link to the video, why didnt you do that?

EDIT: oh wait, I thought you were refering to the systemwars forum that you cant see unless you are registered, silly me. Im downloading it right now.

EDIT 2: oh I read about that somewhere but I didnt know it was so impressive ^_^, Nintendo really put big effort in advertising Zelda, but I dont see how it can relate to the Rev, that animated floor seems very expensive and Nintendo already have claimed they want to make something affordable

Your exactly right. It is a projector.

It seems like you could project the image anywhere and interact with it.

^^^^ That is truely awesome.

Yeah, I had read about it but I was NOT expecting that.....It could have something to do with the Revolution, but hey, the Rev could use a ham sandwhich as a controller for all we know (it can play NES games, I've done it before)

But wow, I am completely blown away by that.  At the end when the guy walked over the water I half expected his feet to get wet JESUS? The fish could have reacted better, but ****, those spiders freaked me out

Who says, if implemented, it would replace the controller?

It could be part of the "interface" Iwata has been proclaiming.

I just imagined a sick possiblity for this technology. Imagine, your playing a Speed boat game, that has a 3/4 top down view. The game is reminiscent of 2D space shooters. Anyway, you use your controller to steer the boat left and right to dodge various things. The graphics are beautifully lush with Nintendo's water making ability being the key attraction.

This is being projected on the floor by the way. Now here comes the crazy part. An Enemy comes into view, but you don't have any guns on the boat. Instead, you step on the Enemies key parts while you dodge whatever it's shooting at you.

That would be crazy fun.

Could Nintendo in some way inplement this into Rev?  It seems like it works with a projecter and a motion senser.  If Nintendo can instead play the image on a regular tv and use a gyroscope as the motion senser, couldn't they use this technique for games?  (sorry for my spelling, I'm too lazy to check it lol)

that thing was awesome i spent a good 2 minutes slamming my foot all over that thing, oh and lucas arts had their own version of the same type of thing in the walkway to the west hall and from the south.  Lucasarts was more about water like effects against the lucasarts logo, still cool though.

I remember a similar thing at the Expo 2000. Kinda interesting but I think the closest we've seen with home use is the Eyetoy.
