The Return of Chibi-Robo
« on: May 17, 2005, 11:28:44 AM »
I was so stoked for this game back in the day.  I can't believe they're still working on it...I think it first started being previewed around the same time as Super Mario Sunshine, didn't it?

Anyway, still looks pretty interesting to me, although the human models in the new screenshots look awfully dopey.  The graphics won't matter to me if the game is as interesting as it was always hyped to be, though.  I'm glad to see it's still alive.

I saw this game, thought it'd suffer the same fate as Giftpia (which I so wanted to play).  Looks very interesting, though, and I'll keep a close eye on it.  Good to hear it and Electroplankton are probably coming stateside.

I love robots, so this game looks awesome.  I really like the design of the Chibi-Robo, the cord tail makes me laugh.  I wish that the graphics were super realistic, I think it would really add to the feel of the game.  Super realistic graphics would make it more surreal.  Either way this game looks like good fun.
It may be simple, but it ain't easy.

Robotor: Yeah, I think more realistic graphics for the robot's surroundings would give a better feeling too, but I'm still very interested.

I'm so glad to see Chibi-Robo return from the grave!

I want to play this game more than anything else right now (well, Chibi-Robo and Twilight Princess). I don't care about the graphics because I already think they're stylish and pretty - kinda like Animal Crossing or Katamari Damacy. You don't NEED mega-graphics for a game like this one.

I'd hate to see Chibi-Robo end up in limbo like Giftpia... I've already mailed Nintendo about bringing this game outside of Japan - about three or four times.

In the latest Famistu scores chibi robo rounded up the top with a 35/40. Chibi-Robo (NGC, Nintendo): 8/9/10/8 - (35/40).  Looks more promissing now.

HOT! A 10... wow. I'm really looking forward to this, not because of the score, but because I have been frothing for it since I saw the trailer. Good news is that NAL (Nintendo Australia) have this on their coming soon release list, I was worried it  might not be coming here, but now i'm even more excited! Twilight Princess? Pfft, Chibi Robo is where it's at.

i just saw all the stuff at IGN, and im eager as hell to play this one.  Any clue on how long it could take to come here in the states?  Or should i just import this baby?  Hmm i wonder if knowing japanese is that big in this game.......

God i just love these new ideas about simple retarded stuff like picking up trash or rolling a ball around (Katamari Damcey) and making a great game design out of it.  Brilliant!

I watched ign vids also. The game looks quirky enough to get, at least for me it is. Plus, that chibi-robo is really chibi and  cuuuute.
