Topic: New DS owner!!

Hello DS-owning PGCers.  I just grabbed a DS on the cheap off ebay for f'n cheap.  

I like that touchscreen.  I just wish the handheld was bit more ergonomic for thumb play.  LIke they should have made the right edge of the touchscreen the edge of the unit (and chopped off the x,y,a,b buttons along with select and start.  They could have put a few of the buttons below the touchscreen.  

Anyway I need a game.  What should I get???  The only games I even remotely know about are Yoshi, WArio and Mario.  

Also will the touchscreen scuff up after lots of extended use if I don't find some kind of protector for it?  Or isn't the a problem?  Any recommendations would be sweet.

the ds is in dry spell intell AUGUST when 20 geat game come out. but for now try feel the magic xx/xy and pix-pac.

This is the first time in a long time where there's a lot of great games coming out on a Nintendo system during the summer. I remember the first GBA summer. Pretty much nothing to buy.  One or more must buy titles per month except for July? That sounds pretty good to me!

Well, Pac-Pix is REALLY good, but only for a short time. It takes only a few hours to beat it.

NFS U2 lasts a LONG time. It's really challenging too.

It all comes down to what you want. I don't think that Pac-Pix was worth the $30 dollars I spent on it. I'd highly recommend buying it when the price lowers though. It really is a game that could've been really great if more time was spent into making it longer.

You beat Pac Pix in "a few hours"?!

I'm more impressed about that than that one guy that beat SMB in like 5 minutes.

I beat the first book in about 10 hours of play time... and I still am only part way through the second book after at least another 15 hours of trying.
