when is the DS lite coming out in the U.S.?

I know the ds lite is  coming out in japan on mar 2, 2006.  but when is the DS LITE coming to the US?  I hope it comes out before the new super mario bros game because i definately need to buy that game and i will need a DS to play it on sinse i dont already have one.

A date (or even a confirmation) has not been set. Reggie Fils-Aime, in a recent interview, said that as soon as the DS's supply in Japan is consistent enough to siphon units to the U.S., they'll bring it over.

I'll be glad when I know a date so I can camp out in front of Gamestop and offer people $10 more than they do for tradeins on the original model

Come to a gamestop in NJ on march 4 i expect my imported DSL will be here and i'll be trading in my old model. Which is another reason I want to import, once they announce a date, the price for trading in the old model will go down.
