Wireless Adaptor?????

Ok i have a question about the wireless adaptor which will be released with Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green.

I read in this months issue of Nintendo Power that it acts like a hub and up to 16ppl (i think 16, i know it was more than 8 for sure) can connect.

In the Article it never says how far the connection can go.  Anyone have a clue on this or any other info on the adaptor?

Sounds to me like a large beta test for something to be included in the DS or GameboyNext.  My guess on distance is about 30 feet, cause thast about how far stuff like that usually works.
