Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
« on: March 01, 2003, 07:13:20 AM »
I don't mean to start a bunch of new threads about games, but no one was talking about this, or Dead Pheonix (see "Dead Pheonix" thread), and they are my two most anticipated games.

I hope what they say is true, that it will be the best in the series! The graphics look amazing to me for some reason, because they are strangely almost cel-shaded in a tottaly uncelshaded realistic way. The back grounds in particular look awesome. Can't wait until Fall!!

Yes, I'm in love with the Harvest Moon series, and love the way the game is starting to unfold, the release of the game is probably going to be earlier than fall, but we never know.... the Europe release is October 2003....

Yes the HM series is a great one, I'm really really excited about this title, and the GBA one too.

The Gamecube version (not mineral town for GBA) is supposed to have  40 characters. I know they will not be all girls, but I certainly hope there is more than 5 in this one. The only girl I was interested in the SNES version was Eve. In the N64 version, it was basically only Karen that I liked. A bigger and better selection would be nice. The hybrid crop thing sounds cool, and I like how each cow has a fence around it's stall so it can't escape. I hated it when you were in the middle of milking & brushing and the cows and other animals wandered around everywhere. It was easy to lose track of which one's you had milked/brushed/talked to. The third GBC Harvest Moon had a lot of fish and crops and the such, so I'm hoping that this is true with this HM as well, seeing as how they will be working with a larger storage medium. And lastly, I hope the game is LOADED with events. Events are what keeps the game fun after the first year or so, but there hasn't been enough of them in any HM game. Regardless, this is a must buy for me.

Didn't everybody choose Kara?  I really don't know anyone who didn't.

Um, Karen's a major bitch, I liked the other girls--Karens a mean, hard to please bitch--who also breaks eggs instead of being helpful when married and also hates your dog and baby.

I read 40 NEW characters. Any way for it to have some old characters? Now that I think about it, I doubt it.

I don't remember much about the N64 version.  I do remember liking Eve a lot on the SNES though.

I’m extremely excited about Harvest Moon (both GCN and GBA versions). I’ve always been a fan and always will be! Something that I think is cool (besides hybrid crops, over 40 characters and more to do) is that A Wonderful Life can link up with Mineral Town (for GBA) and you can visit Mineral Town on your ‘Cube (via A Wonderful Life).

how can she be your wife when she's married to me? i even just checked a few minutes ago and there she was, in my house. i think she divorced you, and then moved in with her parents at the vineyard. and maybe you're the reason for her "attitude."

Harvest Moon is great. It's one of my favorite games on the 64. My wife is Ann, the farm girl. She got me drunk at one of the village gatherings and I passed out. (She was drunk at the time too)
